AERIS Dealer Network

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The coverage you’ll be standing behind in your market, explained plainly.

The philosophy

A warranty should reflect the product, and respect the dealer representing it.

We’ve built our warranty the way we’ve built the products. Lifetime coverage on the parts that should last a lifetime. Reasonable, time-limited coverage on the parts that wear with use. A clear, plain accounting of what isn’t covered, because you’re the one who has to explain all of this to a customer. Nothing in our warranty should surprise you, and nothing in it should create a conversation you aren’t prepared to have.

Here’s exactly what you’ll be representing.

What’s covered

The coverage you can promise with confidence.

Structural components of every AERIS product are covered for as long as the original purchaser owns them. Time-limited coverage applies to components that naturally wear with use.

Component Coverage Period
Defects in materials or workmanship Lifetime
Internal mechanisms and brackets Lifetime
Fabric delamination Lifetime
Motorization components and accessories 5 Years
Operating cords (against fraying) 7 Years

Coverage applies for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, unless a shorter period is noted above. Repairs and replacements are made with like or similar parts. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original retail purchaser.

What’s not covered

Where the line is.

Every warranty has exclusions, and every dealer eventually has a customer who asks about one. Here’s what ours are and how to talk about them.

  • Normal wear and tear. Products have a working life. When something has simply aged out of performance, it’s not a warranty claim.
  • Damage from abuse, accidents, misuse, or unauthorized alterations. If the product was modified after install, or damaged by something outside normal use, the warranty doesn’t apply. This is the category most customer questions fall into, and the one worth being clear about up front.
  • Discoloration or fading from direct sunlight, UV exposure, moisture, or humidity. Fabric is exposed to the elements by design. Gradual color change is a material characteristic, not a manufacturing defect. Worth setting this expectation during the sales conversation.
  • Natural variation in organic materials. Grassweave, woven wood, and bamboo products vary in color, texture, and weave from piece to piece. That’s the nature of natural fiber. We call this out specifically because it’s the most common source of expectation mismatch on natural shade orders.
  • Warping or dimensional changes in natural shade materials from humidity or climate. Natural materials respond to their environment. That response is how the material behaves, not a defect the warranty can cover.
  • Failure to follow AERIS instructions for installation, cleaning, or maintenance. Products installed, cleaned, or maintained outside of specification are not covered. Your installers have the AERIS install guides; your customers should have the care instructions we provide with every order.
  • Shipping charges or labor costs for removal, re-measurement, or reinstallation. The warranty covers the product. Labor and logistics to get a product off or back onto a window are not covered by AERIS and typically sit with the dealer. Factor that into how you price service.

How claims work

What the process looks like from your side.

You are the front line for every warranty claim on an AERIS product sold through your business. The customer talks to you. You evaluate the situation against the warranty terms. If it’s a legitimate claim, you bring it to us.

To submit a claim, contact our team with the original order number, a description of the issue, and photos where applicable. We review the claim, evaluate the product or component involved, and coordinate repair or replacement with you. You handle communication with the homeowner throughout. That’s by design. The customer relationship is yours, and we support you behind the scenes instead of stepping into it.

Claim turnaround varies by issue. Component replacements are typically faster than full product remakes. We’ll always tell you an honest timeline at the time of intake, so you can set the right expectation with your customer.

The legal part

The fine print, plainly.

Standard warranty language. It’s here because it has to be, and we’re not going to pretend it isn’t.

In no event shall AERIS Window Fashions or its authorized dealers be liable for incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives the original retail purchaser specific legal rights, which may vary by state.

This warranty applies only to products purchased through an authorized AERIS dealer and is non-transferable. It applies to the original retail purchaser only. Commercial and contract orders are excluded unless otherwise agreed in writing.
